1. Who are we?

We are a Beijing based Legal back office service provider providing high-quality, low-cost expert Legal Research, translation, transcription, drafting, legal back office and patent-related services to attorneys, law firms legal departments of large multi-national corporations in corporate and private practice.
We are not a law firm but are backed and supported by one of the largest and most reputable law firms in China .
We do not provide any legal advice or render any legal opinion. Our purpose is to render legal support services to law firms and companies under the guidance of bar-admitted lawyers from outside counsel or our clients. .


2. What types of services do we provide?

We provide legal support services in the following areas:

Litigation Support - document review for responsiveness, confidentiality status and privilege; substantive analysis of produced documents; deposition preparation and digesting; fact research for depositions, discovery and trial

Document Review for Corporate Transactions - due diligence in mergers, acquisitions and real estate transactions; Department of Justice "second requests"

Contract Review and Management - generation, review and organization of standardized contracts; creation of company databases to contain key fields

Legal Research - legal, regulatory and statutory research to update legal treatises; case summaries

3. How do we receive research requests?

We offer our prospective clients the following avenues for submitting research requests:

E-mail
Online request form
Letter by ordinary post/courier
Facsimile
Voice mail attachments
Telephone

4 . What are our billing options?

We bill according to the nature of the individual assignments.
Acceptable methods of payment are:

Any major credit and debit cards (American Express, MasterCard, Visa)
Cheque/drafts
Postal order

We adopt a flexible approach to billing and will work with its clients to establish a billing regime that makes most sense for the project.

5. How do we ensure client confidentiality?

We take professional responsibility for our work and documents at our disposal and maintain confidentiality in all our projects.
The concerned team has to provide a written undertaking that they have no interest in the outcome of the issue being researched.

6.What kind of training do we offer?

We offer on-going and comprehensive training in the following areas:

Litigation support and discovery training (e.g., review of new e-discovery rules, attorney-client and other privileges, confidentiality designations, review of litigation pleadings and documents). The Lawspirit attorneys have also received training on e-discovery software of major vendors.
